GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PAPER PRESENTATIONS
- All paper presenters are required to be full
registrants of the Congress.
- Each paper presentation is given a total time
allotment of twenty (20) minutes which is broken
down as follows:
- 15 minutes presentation, including 1-2 min introduction
- 05 minutes open forum
- The time allotment will be strictly followed to allow
Congress participants to move from one session to another
parallel session, catch the presentations they want to
participate in. Implementing time schedules will require
the moderators to stop the presentation after the 15 min
allotment has passed, whether the presenter has completed
the presentation or not. Presenters are therefore advised
to make the necessary preparations to enable them to make
full use and finish their presentations within the allotted
time. Speakers will be briefed on the warning procedures
to be used during the sessions.
- Presenters should have their presentation materials
ready for use before the session begins.
- A copy of the AV presentation (e.g. powerpoint
presentation) in a CD should be submitted at the Registration
Desk when the presenter registers. The CD should be
placed in a small envelop with the Presentation number,
name of presenter and the title of the paper on the
outer face of the envelop. The file will be uploaded
by the Papers Committee Technical Group in the AV
equipment in the appropriate room. Presenters are
advised to check if uploading has been successful
prior to the session of their presentation.
- Presenters who wish to use their personal laptops
should check for compatibility of their computer with
the AV equipment in the appropriate room, and if the
proper connectors are available prior to their session.

GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PAPER PRESENTATIONS
- All paper presenters are required to be full
registrants of the Congress.
- A poster presentation allows for one-on-one
discussion of one’s research work with Conference
participants.
- The poster should indicate the title of the poster,
author(s) (underline presenter) and affiliation. It
should include an introduction, objectives, methodology,
key results, conclusions and recommendations, and
acknowledgement of support for the research, if applicable.
- The posters should use font sizes and illustrations
that can be clearly seen and read from distances
of 3 feet (1 m) or more.
- One poster board has been reserved for your
poster display.
- Take note of your poster number
and mount your poster on the board with your poster
number.
- The poster board provided for each presentation
measures 1 meter wide and 2 meters high. Poster
size should not exceed the space 1 m x 1.5 m.
- The poster should be mounted using double-sided
mounting tapes which you should bring
with you. The Congress organizers will NOT
PROVIDE the mounting tapes.
- The use of other mounting devices (tacks, staples,
etc) is not allowed. However, placing mounting holes
at the corners of your poster in case additional support
through hanging is necessary is a good preparation.
- Bulky posters and those that are heavy for mounting
should be avoided.
- Poster presenters are expected to be in attendance next
to their posters during the dedicated poster sessions
to which their work is scheduled for viewing to discuss
and interact with the participants.
- There will be two poster sessions. Posters
should be in place at a designated time before your assigned
session, and removed prior to the next session or the
end of the Congress. The Congress organizers will not
be responsible for any posters removed at the designated
times.
