National Convention

This year's theme "Keeping Chemistry Education Alive: Innovations in the Chemistry Laboratory" is a response to our members' clamor for making chemistry technology more available, affordable and accessible. Thus, workshops on MICROSCALE EXPERIMENTS and LOW COST INSTRUMENTATION with accompanying experiments in Colorimetry and Potentiometry will be conducted. The convention will be held on October 23-24, 2008 at the Adamson University in Manila.

General Assembly 2008

Cognizant of our students’ need for knowledge and wisdom beyond chemical principles, this year’s General Assembly featured what may be considered an endangered specie of sorts….VALUES. Our Guest Speaker Prof. Aurea M. Ojerio, National Coordinator for S & T of SAGIP BANSA Project, delivered an extremely urgent message in her lecture “Values Integration in Science Education”. Even the cold Multimedia Instruction Room of Centro Escolar University went figuratively warm with responses of our teacher attendees…a signal that it is indeed time for us to reflect on what we value the most.
